Benefits of Hot Tub Thereapy

There's a reason they never put a hot tub across a marathon finish line. When your muscles and joints are inflamed, adding heat will increase blood flow, which is the opposite of what you want to do! Always allow a cool-down period to relax and stretch the muscles. Save the hot tub until later that night or the next day.

The most common physical issues that runners have include pain in the knees, buttocks, heels, hips, lower back, and hamstrings. Shin splints are an issue for some as well. Hot water can assist in relieving some of this pain.
