WTF is HIIT anyways?

In both group and 1-1 settings, I use HIIT programming to whip people into shape! What is HIIT, you may ask? It stands for High Intensity Interval Training. The workouts consist of bursts or high intensity, followed by active recovery movements.Some example HIIT programs, below.

Pure Cardio Blast: 20 seconds of Sprinting, 10 seconds of walking using a treadmill (or not…try the road or your backyard) repeat 8 times.

Body Weight Home Challenge: 20 Pushups, 20 Squats, 20 Knee Raises, 20 Burpees. Repeat a total of 4 times.
